Hunted Cow Announces Battle Dungeon

Battle Dungeon is a brand new multiplayer, turn-based strategy game, from the team at Hunted Cow.

Battle Dungeon offers a level of depth and complexity normally associated with PC-based strategy games, but optimised and designed for the latest generation of iOS devices – iPads, iPhones and iPods.

The game allows players to put together a party of warriors, archers and priests, then practice against AI players, or real world opponent, or play competitively against others, all around the world.  In the best video games tradition, the goal is to wipe out the other party and take over the entire dungeon.

 Battle Dungeon has three distinct character classes – each of which can use two unique abilities and choose from three classes of weapons.  The game contains hundreds of separate items, which allow players to customise and create their perfect party of up to 30 members.

Hunted Cow is putting the finishing touches to the game, which is due for release in the next several weeks.  Battle Dungeon is already in open beta, with players providing feedback and input to the company, to ensure it is as robust as possible.

While iOS gaming has blossomed in the last several years, many of the more experienced PC and console gamers have complained that the titles on offer are too simplistic and ‘casual’ to appeal to those who have dedicated games devices.  Battle Dungeon builds on Hunted Cow’s experience with browser-based massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) and their more recent iOS strategy titles, such as Civil War: 1863.  The company’s goal was to build a game with more sophistication, depth and complexity, which would appeal directly to existing gamers and those looking for a greater challenge on their iOS devices.
