Abertay Creative Campus: Abertay University has officially become Scotland’s first Adobe Creative Campus, part of a select group of colleges and universities that have empowered students across disciplines with essential digital skills to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
The new partnership with Adobe means that students can benefit from the range of industry-leading software, enhancing their digital and creative skills. All Abertay students now have free access to Adobe Express Premium, a cloud-based platform that allows users to create videos, PDF documents, web pages, graphics and other digital assets.
Students can access the Abertay Creative Campus resources both on location and at home, enabling them to create visually compelling content from any location.
The benefits extend to staff members, who receive access to Adobe Creative Cloud software, including popular tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator. Students and staff can also tap into Adobe Stock’s extensive library of millions of royalty-free images.
Luke Millard, Professor and Dean of Student Development, said:
We’re excited to embark upon a new strategic partnership with Adobe, which will bring real tangible advantages to both our students and staff. With free access to Adobe Express Premium and the 20 industry-leading apps within the Creative Cloud, everyone will find tools tailored to their needs, empowering them to create exceptional work and gain a competitive edge in their projects and assessments. Abertay has a proud history as a digital-focused university, rooted in technology and innovation. We are fully committed to fostering the digital and creative skills vital for students’ success in the modern workplace. Through Adobe’s suite of creative tools, we aim to empower our students to think creatively and innovatively, enhancing their employability and preparing them for life after university.
Mark Andrews, Principal Strategic Development Manager, Adobe Education said:
