How To Run A Crowdfunding Campaign

A growing number of projects, from videogames to board games have used a crowdfunding campaign to raise the money they need to reach the market.

Crowdfunding is projected to reach a value of $28.8bn by 2025. Each popular crowdfunding platform has a highly engaged community of investors and customers that are easy to access and looking to support ventures.

Yet for every successful project, there are dozens of others, which never hit their goal, or reach beyond the creator’s immediate social contacts.

After early successes, is crowd funding still a useful platform for game developers? How can founders and entrepreneurs give their campaigns the best possible opportunity for success?

Robert Gordon University’s Innovation Live webinar introduces participants to two entrepreneurs who have successfully raised money through crowdfunding and the Partnership Manager from Seedrs, one of the UK’s leading equity crowdfunding platforms.

Each will share their stories and insights, giving practical tips and advice on raising capital through a crowdfunding campaign.

Taking place on Thursday 13 August 2020 from 11:00 – 12:30, the webinar will introduce Sam Pettipher, the Managing Director of eBar Initiatives and Alison Wood, the founder of Lilypads, as well as Ross Kelly, the partnership manager for Seedrs.

The event is free to join, but space is limited.
