Engadin Da Vida, Baby!

The Engadin (literally “Valley of the Inn people”) Line leads North East through the beautiful regions of Upper and Lower Engadin in Switzerland, following the Inn river for 57 km.

The first section comprises the Samedan to Pontresina railway which was built as a link between the Albula and the Bernina lines. It follows the wide valleys around Samedan, before climbing steep hills in the narrow valleys between Cinuos-chel-Brail and the endpoint at Scuol-Tarasp.

Why are we telling you this? Because our friends at Rivet Games have been hard at work recreating the splendour of the Engadin line for users of Train Simulator.

If you’ve not yet come across Rivet Games, the company is based in Stirling and creates content for some of the world’s leading simulation titles.

Rivet has taken on the challenge of recreating many of the world’s most iconic railway journeys, including the locomotives, rolling stock and livery, which will be familiar to travellers and rail enthusiasts.

As the studio notes:

With its iconic stations and infrastructure buildings along a stunningly beautiful route, the Engadin Line is always worth a visit. Climb on board the RhB GE 6/6 II locomotive and serve the 17 stations along the Engadin Line, for Train Simulator!

The Rivet Games Engadin pack on is available now Steam, or direct from Rivet.

If you’re a train fan, you should check it out. I know Rivet would be chuffed.
