BAFTA Guru Live: Glasgow Games Programme

UPDATE: BAFTA GURU LIVE EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED

Statement from BAFTA Scotland:

We’ve come to the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming Guru Live Glasgow event on Saturday 28 March.

We have been monitoring the advice from the government but as well as this, we have had to take into account speaker availability, attendance and the quality of the experience which we’ll be able to offer. As we’re a small team, we also want to ensure that we’ll be able to continue to offer activities and services to our members and audiences.

We hope to be able to reschedule elements of Guru Live as stand-alone events in the coming months. If we’re able to do that, we will e-mail anyone who purchased a ticket as soon as we’re able to confirm. Please also keep an eye on our social media and newsletters for updates.

In the meantime, we will provide you with a full refund, which will be processed in the coming weeks. Please bear with us as we have a large number of refunds to process.

If you have any questions or concerns then please get in touch with infoscotland@bafta.org and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

We apologise for the disappointment which we obviously share. Guru Live Glasgow is one of the highlights of our year and we continue to be committed to supporting this audience. We hope we will see you very soon.

Guru Live, BAFTA Scotland’s one day festival focusing on new talent in the screen industries, takes place at the Lighthouse, in central Glasgow on March 28th 2020.

There’s a broad range of workshops, classes, talks and Q&A sessions, covering everything from working as a freelancer and production design, through to composing soundtracks and storytelling.

However, for our purposes, there are three sessions focusing on games which we believe you should know about – and go to (and an after party!)
