Scots Companies Nominated In TIGA Awards

The nominations for the 2019 TIGA awards have been announced, with a number of Scottish games companies reaching the shortlist.

Indie darlings NoCode lead the pack with three nominations for their latest release, Observation, while Outplay also picked up three nominations. One for themselves and one each for their studios/labels: Eight Pixels Square and Bitesize Games.

Official industry legend, Ged Grimes, is also nominated for Heist Music’s work on the Bard’s Tale IV soundtrack.

In the business categories, Henderson Loggie and Speech Graphics have been recognised as leading companies within the UK industry.

  • Heist Music: The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep 
  • No Code: Observation

Creativity Award

  • No Code: Observation

Diversity Award

  • Dovetail Games: TSW & Fishing Sim World ProTour 

Heritage Award

  • Dovetail Games: TSW

Best Puzzle Game

  • Outplay Entertainment Ltd: Mystery Match 

Best Racing Game

  • Bitesize Games Ltd: Highway Heat 

Best Visual Design

  • No Code: Observation

In the business categories:

Education Initiative and Talent Development

  • Outplay Entertainment

Engines, Middleware, Tools and Technology Award

  • Speech Graphics

Independent Studio

  • Dovetail Games

Leadership Award

  • Paul Jackson OBE, Dovetail Games

Tax & Accountancy Firm

  • MHA Henderson Loggie

The awards ceremony takes place in London’s Natural History Museum, on the evening of November 7th.
