The GlobalScot network is one of the unique services Scottish businesses can access through Scottish Enterprise. As the name suggests it is a global network of Scots, who can provide information, business knowledge and advice on a huge range of topics and markets around the world.
On Thursday 16th of February, GlobalScot Bob Dewar will be in Glasgow and has a limited number of 1-2-1 slots available to meet companies to advise them on:
• Approvals licensing
• Exporting to the USA
• Negotiating and sales
• The regulatory environment
• USA business partnerships
• Business plan appraisals
Bob also offers guidance on how to access finance, sales and marketing in the USA.
The one to ones will be held at Scottish Enterprise, Atrium Court, 50 Waterloo Street, Glasgow, G2 6HQ. Please contact Colette Hughes (collette.hughes@scotent.co.uk) if you would like to meet up with Bob. Each session will last up to 45 minutes and spaces are limited.

Robert Dewar, Partner, Williams Mullen
Educated at George Heriot’s School in Edinburgh and Perth Academy, Bob studied law at Edinburgh University qualifying with an Honours Degree. After completing his traineeship in Edinburgh and qualifying as a solicitor, he completed a “stage” (training course) at the European Commission in 1988. In late 1988, Bob moved to the US and completed a Masters Degree in Law at George Washington University. He is fully qualified as an attorney in Virginia. Having joined an international law firm based in Richmond, Bob worked in Virginia for six years before qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales and relocating to London in 1996. He was responsible for opening that law firm’s office in London. During his period in London, he was engaged in transactional work throughout Europe, on behalf of both US and European companies. In 2001, Bob headed back to Virginia where he now splits his time between Richmond and Washington, D.C.
