There’s a new studio in Dundee. For several months now, rumours of Studio X – a new developer, who would be recruiting and working on a game so secret that even GCHQ and the NSA had only a vague idea of it’s key parameters.
The new studio is now a reality. Kobojo is a French company, headquartered in Paris and established in 2008. The company creates casual, mobile, social and online games. Kobojo raised $7.7M in it’s first round of funding in 2011, giving the company a solid financial footing. To date it has released titles such as Mutants Genetic Gladiators, Atlantis Fantasy, Goobox and Pyramid Valley.
Kobojo’s new Dundee studio is working on an unannounced title, which it due to debut at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show, which takes place in mid September (18th-24th. In Tokyo, obviously…)
The company worked closely with Scottish Enterprise to bring the new studio to Dundee.

Kobojo’s Dundee studio is led by industry veteran Chris Stamp (DMA Design, Realtime Worlds).
