Game In Scotland 2014

game in scotlandSaturday March 1st is the date.  Dundee is the location.  Game In Scotland is back for 2014 – bigger and better than ever before.

This year’s GIS offers something for everyone – whether you’re looking for a job, starting your own company, working on a new project, or looking for advice from industry experts.

Funded by Scottish Enterprise, Game In Scotland is free for visitors, exhibitors, speakers and participants, making it an essential event for everyone in the games sector.

Abertay institute 002Game In Scotland 2014 will take place in the light, airy, modern, newly built and frankly sexy Institute for arts media and computer games at the University of Abertay, Dundee.  Which marks a great change from the event’s previous home at the smaller, more intimate venue at Fat Sam’s nightclub.

For students, graduates and those looking for a new job in the video games sector, it’s an opportunity to meet the companies within Scotland’s games industry, find those who are recruiting, offering internships and work placements and impress them.

romana ramzan - gis 2013For start-up companies and young development studios, it’s an opportunity to speak to organisations who can help with issues like funding, training, networking, work for hire, marketing recruitment, HR, freelancing and getting your games to market.

For established companies, there’s an opportunity to meet the press, demonstrate games to an audience of several hundred, hear from some of the industry’s thought leaders, find new, experienced staff and talk to the next generation of developers.

We’re now looking for speakers, presenters, exhibitors, jobs and games, to join us at Game In Scotland 2014.  If you have something to share, a topic you think needs to be discussed, a new game you’d like to shout about, vacancies you’re trying to fill, or aspirations for a job in the games world, then you need to be here.
