Scotland’s 4J Studios & Game Centre, Winners In 2013 MCV Awards

game centre - mcv awardThe MCV Awards were held in London last night, with Scotland’s independent games retailer, Game Centre picking up the trophy for Best High Street Independent Retailer and the Xbox 360 version of Mojang’s Minecraft, developed by 4J Studios, walking off with the Sales Triumph award.

If you’ve not come across Game Centre yet, they’re an independent retail chain based around Scotland (Airdrie, Ayr, Dumfries, Hamilton, Irvine, Kilmarnock & Paisley) as well as online.  You should support them and buy things there.  They’ve got a website and a Facebook page.  You should visit them and Like them too.

4J, Minecraft, you know the drill.  Biggest/Fastest selling Xbox Live game ever.  If you’ve not played Minecraft yet, then you have no joy in your soul (we should note that other platforms are available, but 4J did the Xbox Live version…)

The MCV awards have been running for 11 years, rewarding retailers and publishers within the games sector.  You can find the full list of winners on the MCV website.

Congratulations to both Game Centre and 4J on their glorious success.
