BAFTA In Scotland – New Talent Awards – Call For Entries

BAFTA new-talent-white-10931The BAFTA In Scotland New Talent Awards is the academy’s competition for students and those working in the screen industries for the first time.

The competition is unique and runs only in Scotland.  The 2012 awards were a huge success, with BAFTA delegates across the UK visiting Glasgow for the awards ceremony and commenting upon the value of the New Talent event.

The competition is now open for entries.  New Talent is open to students or emerging professionals, working in their chosen industry for the first time.  The games (and films, animation, etc.) do NOT need to be commercially available, but should be accessible and playable by a jury in some way, shape or form.

baftanewtalent56-17157The work must have been completed between the 1st of January – 31st of December 2012.

There’s a £20 entry fee for the New Talent Awards, unless you are a student, in which case the fee is reduced to £10.

This is a perfect opportunity for students and teams who competed in Dare to be Digital, or a Game Jam to enter the game created for that competition.

You can find all of the categories, entry criteria and background on the BAFTA In Scotland New Talent web page.

The call for entries ends on Monday 14th of January 2013.
