Stormcloud Games – New Development Studio Created By Games Veterans

Three of Scotland’s most experienced game developers have set up a new game development studio based in Dundee.

Stormcloud Games has been launched by Frank Arnot, Andy West and Pat McGovern, who between them have over 50 years of development experience and have launched 45 games, covering almost every genre and platform, including Minecraft (XBLA), Perfect Dark (XBLA), Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Formula One, Star Trek: Conquest; Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun,  NASCAR, Glasgow 2014 (Commonwealth Games) and Harry Potter: Quidditch.

Stormcloud has already secured funding from the Prototype Fund, overseen by the University of Abertay, Dundee, to develop new intellectual property for a browser-based game aimed at 6-12 year olds.

The company is now looking for further investment for its first project, as well as new work-for-hire projects.  While Stormcloud will consider (and has experience with) most platforms and styles of gaming, they’re particularly interested in Android, iOS and browser-based games, as these a key growth sectors in the rapidly evolving games market.

Stormcloud’s website is already live and kicking and features everything you need to know about the company and the team behind it.

You can also find the company on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.  Or, for that personal touch, you can e-mail them directly.

Stormcloud has already achieved immortality and recognition beyond the wit of men with their inclusion within the lasciviously accurate and wantonly comprehensive Scottish Games Network Company Directory.
